We’re a family-owned and operated Masala and Atta brand in Goa, crafting high-quality aromatic spice blends and healthy flours using best-in-class ingredients. Our team is inspired by the richness and diversity of Goan cuisine and all its nuanced flavours. It is our constant endeavour to bring these flavours to you, to give you a taste of our local cuisine, no matter where in the world you may be.

Mayenkar Masala and Mayenkar Atta are freshly ground and hygienically packed, used by households, top hotels and restaurants, and are even taken abroad as gifts and souvenirs. All Mayenkar Products are free of chemicals and preservatives. When you purchase a packet of our best Goan Masalas, you not only indulge in authentic, regional food, but you help us in our mission of preserving time-honoured recipes as time goes by.

STORY

Mayenkar Products was born out of the love for authentic Goan cuisine in our very own kitchen. Our freshly ground spices and age-old recipes were admired by friends and relatives, who swooned over the simplicity and flavour of our food. With the idea of sharing this taste with more people, we opened our first retail outlet in the 1950s and it quickly became a hit among the people of Panjim.

From our ever-popular Garam Masala (our mother’s signature spice blend), we diversified into different Goan Masalas, powdered spices and flours, each one made from scratch by the Mayenkar family. Next, we found that while there were brands of flours available in the market, they lacked in quality. We began grinding high-quality flours and then decided to brand our products, making them available to a wider audience. Mayenkar Products Goa quickly grew through word of mouth and even became the choice of many top restaurants over time.

In 2016, Mayenkar Products rebranded and began retailing at various supermarkets across Goa. With our focus on genuine products, fine quality and authentic blends, we have now grown to be one of Goa’s most trusted brands.

Sujan Mayenkar

Sujan always derives great joy from feeding good food to loved ones. When not working, you will find this mother of two busy trying out different combinations of spices and seeing what effect it has on the food. From here came the idea of making the fruits of her food research available to everyone apart from just family and friends. As a first-generation Goan entrepreneur, she is no stranger to hard work and her vision for Mayenkar Products Goa is what drives the team.
